Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
I encourage you all right now to stop what you are doing and to take the time out to thank God, not only for what He has done but just for WHO He is. Take this time out to praise and worship His mighty name. Take a second to think about where He has brought you from and the things He has brought you through. We focus so much on what we don’t have and what we want, that we forget to just stop and look at what we do have, and to thank God for it. I’m saying all of this because I just took the time out to do this myself. I’ve been battling with the spirit of fear lately. So I have been praying all day for God to give me strength and to help me trust Him. But just now I decided to just stop and thank God. I took some time just to reflect on what God has already done for me and to reflect on how great He is and it took me to an amazing place mentally and spiritually. Understand that God already knows what we have need of before we even ask Him(Matthew 6:8). Just be patient and rest in Him. God hears all of your prayers and He knows exactly what you are going through, and He is right there with you in it. So rather than constantly praying and asking for this and that, take this time right now to thank God. Take this time to praise and worship Him and to let Him know that you love Him and that you are so grateful for what He has done for you and what He is going to do for you. Just thank Him for being the great God that He is. I don’t care what you’re going through right now. I don’t care what the situation or the circumstance is, we ALL have more than enough reasons to thank God for what He has done. Don’t focus on the negative or what is taking place around you, use this time to just seek God out and to reflect on what He has already done and thank Him for it.
I encourage you all to listen to this song and do all that you can to get into the presence of the Lord this morning and stay there for the rest of the day. Call on the name of Jesus and invite Him into your life. I don’t care if you’re at work, if you’re at school, if you’re at home walking the dog I encourage you just to call on the mighty name of Jesus and invite His presence into your life at this very moment. Regardless of the situation or circumstance that you are in right now. I don’t care what happen yesterday or what happen last week or even this morning. I don’t care if you’re in fear of something that might happen tomorrow, realize that this moment right here is the only moment that truly matters. Yesterday is dead and gone and it’s not coming back, and tomorrow is not promised to any of us. All you have is today, this moment right now. Use this time to seek the face and the presence of the Lord. Everything you need can be found when you get into his Presence and call on the name of Jesus. Whether it’s healing, deliverance, guidance, understanding, peace of mind, whatever it may be you can find it all in the presence of the Lord. Draw closer to God and He will draw closer to you.“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. -Luke 11:9-10
The first step though is to call on the name of Jesus and get into His presence. Things happen when you get into His presence.
On this episode Pastor Randall and I discuss the differences between being politically correct and being spiritually correct and which one God would prefer. Enjoy and thank you for your support! I pray this episode blesses your life and your walk with Christ.
9How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
The Word of God will teach you how to live and be blessed, the Word of God has completely equipped us all to do the work that God has called us to do. The youth have suffered a brutal attack by the enemy. With the influence of today’s media the lines of what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad have been blurred. We are losing our direction and purpose, and seeking to re-gain it in all the wrong ways. I know there are a lot of young people longing to walk the righteous path, longing to not live according to worldly standards. You may not admit it to your friends or even to your families but I know that there are plenty of you out there who know when you’re alone at night, examining your life and thinking to yourself that the place you’re at right now is not where you are supposed to be, that there is better in store for you. I know there are many of you that know there is more to life than drugs, sex, money, and other material things. I’ve had those same thoughts, and have been in that exact same place. A place where I felt like my life was in a whirlwind, taking a downward spiral and I didn’t know whether to go right or left, and just couldn’t seem to find and stay on the straight and narrow path to my destiny. I’m here to tell you that there is more to life, and that there is someone and something who can help you to find and stay on the path of purity to your destiny. That someone and that something is Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Through Christ you can be delivered from the ways of the world. Through Christ you can come out of that addiction. Through Christ you can come out of that depression. Through Christ you can be delivered from your past. Through Christ you can get rid of all your fears, your doubts, and anxiety. You as a young person can come out of whatever is hindering you and keeping you from reaching your full potential, keeping you from walking in the blessings that God has for you. You do it by living according to His Word. You’ve done it your way all these years and you’re still stuck in that same place. Make the change today and put your life in Christ hands and allow God and His perfect, true, and living Word to govern and navigate your life so you can finally get on and stay on the path of purity and become all that God has called you to be.
11 “This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you, and it is not beyond your reach. 12 It is not kept in heaven, so distant that you must ask, ‘Who will go up to heaven and bring it down so we can hear it and obey?’ 13 It is not kept beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask, ‘Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear it and obey?’14 No, the message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it.
